THE WHY: As the competition ramped up the brand’s EV offerings, and the auto industry at large was inundated with public declarations of carbon neutrality plans, Mercedes-Benz turned to Engine Shop to help break through the noise and showcase their leadership position in the journey to a fully electric future.

THE WHAT: Leveraging deep industry relationships, Engine Shop secured a massive brand alliance with the highly anticipated Avatar: The Way of Water, creating a multifaceted campaign “Earth is Our Pandora” to educate, engage, and celebrate Mercedes-Benz's electric vehicle line-up. Beginning with co-branded TV spots and scenic “movie theater” pop-ups in LA and ATL with a Fandango partnership and ticketing sweepstakes, the campaign culminated with an immersive, global premiere ‘blue carpet’ takeover featuring live ocean projection mapping onto EQS SUV, 40+ celebrity appearances, and the unveiling of a one-of-one concept vehicle inspired by the world of Pandora, the VISION AVTR.
